IOM in conjunction with the Ministry of Home Affairs conducts a Trafficking in Persons awareness campaign at ZITF 2015
IOM working in conjunction with the Ministry of Home Affairs exhibited at 2015 Zimbabwe International Trade Fare (ZITF)’s exhibition week (28 April- 2 May 2015) in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. The IOM and Ministry of Home Affairs Exhibition Stand main theme revolved around fighting human trafficking and informing the public about the protections measures within the Trafficking in Persons Act of 2014. The exhibition stand proved very popular especially to the targeted women and children. Activities within the stand included videos on Human trafficking, quiz on various issues about human trafficking including the definition, the provisions of the law with winners going away with prizes such as T shirts, Rulers, Caps among other Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials. Over 2000 paper caps, 200 T shirts, 500 rulers and 1000 ball point pens with TIP messages were distributed during the week long exhibition.
