Resumption of IOM - UKTB Health Assessment
IOM Zimbabwe has been operational since 1985, working with the Government of Zimbabwe in addressing migrtaion-related challenges and providing solutions and services in the areas of Migration development, emergency and Post-crisis situations to migrants and communities. UKTB program has been active in Zimbabwe since January 2013 providing service to migrants applying for a visa to travel to UK for a period of more than 6 months through the provision of TB screening.
IOM had suspended the health assessment activities due to COVID-19 national locadown measures to reduce spreading of the virus.
We are happy to inform that measures to return our operations have been granted and IOM office in Harare will now be able to do UKTB screening. We have put in place several measures to protect our staff and our clients from COVID-19.
Applicants will be schedule via phone and email, with no more walk-in bookings allowed.
Applicants are advise to wait for at least 14 days to schedule their immigration medical checks if they recently arrived from overseas or had contact with someone who did or presented symptoms of COVID-19.
They will be screen on arrival to the Migration Health Unit entrance, and is advice to attend the appointments with their own mask.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
